Jewish Family Service Association of Cleveland (JFSA) is pleased to announce a major expansion of its long-standing College Financial Aid Program with the newly established Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel Scholarship Program aimed at helping middle income families face the challenge of paying for college. The program – which was established by a $4 million grant from the Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel Supporting Foundation – will make grants of up to $5,000 available to eligible students over the four-year period of the Mandel grant. Applications for the 2025-2026 school year will be accepted on a first come, first served basis. There is no fee to apply for a grant. All funds awarded through the Mandel Scholarship Program will be paid directly to the educational institution in which the award recipient is enrolled.

In order to be eligible for one of 75 competitive grants, applications will be processed on a first come, first serve basis.

All eligible students must:

• Identify as Jewish
• Reside in Cuyahoga, and select surrounding cities
• Have a total household income of approximately between $130,000 to $225,000
• Have a GPA of 3.0 or above
• Are a full-time undergraduate student seeking a 4-year degree at a fully accredited institution
• Complete two 500-word essays

All grant checks will be mailed to the college or university where the student attends after deficit is determined.
