Adult Day
Support

Adult Day Support addresses the immediate needs of adults with developmental disabilities and also fosters a supportive community network, promoting a high quality of life for participants and their families. The program is driven by participating individuals who choose and plan a personal monthly activity calendar under the guidance of JFSA staff.

Personal Development and Skill Enhancement

Structured activities like arts and crafts, tai chi, educational classes, and life skills training in areas such as cooking and money management help enhance cognitive and physical abilities, promote independence, and provide individuals with practical skills they can use in everyday life.

Socialization and Community Engagement

Opportunities for social interaction with peers, community outings, and participation in group activities reduces feelings of isolation, helps build social skills, and enhances participants’ sense of belonging and involvement in the wider community. Examples of activities are piano sing-a-long, walking club, volunteering, movie nights, bingo, Zumba, cooking nights.

Safety and Supervision

Adult Day Support is located at the Kindness Center in Beachwood (link to Kindness Center page) a safe environment providing a secure setting where participants can engage in activities under the supervision of professional staff without the risk of harm, offering peace of mind to families and caregivers. Transportation services are available to ensure safe travel to and from the program.

Support for Families and Caregivers

Day Support allows caregivers to work, pursue personal interests, or rest by providing reliable care during the day, ensuring that caregivers can maintain their own health and well-being while continuing to support their loved ones.

Hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
