JFSA’s Shuttle on the Go is a free transportation service for clients to help them maintain appointments, social connections, and daily routines, contributing significantly to their quality of life.
Comprehensive Access
Clients enjoy free round-trip transportation to a variety of essential appointments and errands, including medical visits, personal appointments, trips to see loved ones in hospitals and nursing homes, and grocery shopping. This wide range of destinations supports clients’ health, social, and personal needs.
Convenience and Reliability
Operating between 9 am and 5 pm within a 10-mile radius of the JFSA’s Pepper Pike office, the service is designed for convenience. Clients can schedule rides with ease, ensuring they have reliable transportation when they need it most. To maintain efficiency and safety, drivers are instructed not to make unscheduled stops. This policy helps ensure timely arrivals and departures, keeping the day’s schedule on track for all clients.
Easy Scheduling Process
Booking a ride is straightforward—simply call JFSA at least 48 hours in advance. The process is designed to be user-friendly, with a focus on accessibility and efficiency.
Handicap Accessible
The shuttle is wheelchair-accessible, catering to clients with mobility challenges. By notifying the scheduler of any special needs, such as wheelchair, walker, or cane use, clients can be assured of a comfortable and accommodating ride.
Support for Caregivers
Caregivers can accompany clients on the shuttle. This ensures that clients have the necessary support during their appointments or errands, enhancing the overall service experience.
Safety and Compliance
Both riders and accompanying caregivers are required to sign a Consent & Waiver form, ensuring that all parties understand and agree to the terms of the service. This measure emphasizes the commitment to safety and responsibility.
